NEW ALBUM "PLANETARIUM"

​

We are excited to announce the release of our new album "Planetarium". We'll celebrate this with a concert at Montreal's l'Hémisphère Gauche on Saturday November 18th.

​

"The Storm Is Over" is the next single off of that album and it will be out on October 24th. You can presave it here.

​

The album will also include the singles "You Are The Universe", "Magic" and "Heartstrings".

POP AID BENEFIT COMPILATION

​

We contributed an exclusive track for the 3 CD compilation POP AID, where all profits will benefit World Central Kitchen and the work that they do helping the people affected by the war in Ukraine.

​

Our full band acoustic version of our single "Magic" will be next to songs by power pop artists from around the world, including Jeremy with Ken Stringfellow, Thrift Store Halo, Star Collector and many more. 

​

It will come out on August 5th via Kool Kat Music and it can be purchased here.  A digital version is now available on Bandcamp.

Acoustic show

​

Next Friday 10/04 we'll play an acoustic show with the full band at Anticafe Vieux-Port as part of their Antishow series. We can't wait to share with you what we prepared for this very special performance.

​

Patrick Dunphy (ex-King Karoshi) will open the night with an acoustic set as well.

​

John Abbott College Ribfest

​

We've been invited to play at this year's John Abbott College's Homecoming Ribfest, organized by the JAC Foundation at the JAC Campus in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

​

It's a three-day event with amazing ribs, live music and games for everyone. Expect great ribs (and other options too!), family fun and local entertainment including 10 varsity sports and recognition events on campus.

​

We'll be playing on Sunday 9-22 at 3pm.

​

Free Show in Old Montreal

We've been invited once more to be part of the Midi Indie Zones Musique series at Place d'Armes in Old Montreal. This time we'll be playing a free show on Monday July 1st at noon.

​

Other artists on the series this year include Caracol, Renard Blanc, Fuudge, Milimetrik and many more.

We're stoked to announce that on March 27 we'll be headlining Recording Arts Canada's showcase at Le Ministère.

​

Also performing that night will be Civil House, J.A.M., Ricky Rockster and Pineapple Destruction.

It will be an all ages and free event that you don't want to miss. Doors will open at 7pm and music will start at 8pm.

Muse tribute show

We are super excited for our first show of the year! We're playing on Friday January 25 at Katacombes, opening for Uprising (a tribute to Muse) with Vinyl Hero, as part of the Club Hommages concert series.

Basin Fest

We're looking forward to playing at Basin Fest this year! We will be closing the first night, on Thursday October 11 at L'Esco.

Also playing that night will be The Gowing Away Present, Kompadres, The Crooked and Muffin Cup.  The festival will continue that Friday and Saturday.

We are thrilled to announce that we'll be part of this year's Le Bruit des Arbres, organized by Projet Ex.

 

We'll kick of the day performing at 1pm on Saturday September 8.

 

Other acts playing that day include Paupière, Annie Sama, Loïc April, Cape Cartel and many more.

McGill Open Air Pub

​

Hey McGill peeps we're back! We'll be closing the first night of Open Air Pub at 8pm on Monday August 27.

​

This is the third time that we get to play there. It's always a lot of fun. This year promises to be the biggest OAP to date, as they will have video screens and a headliner coming from overseas.

On Friday August 24 we'll play at Atomic Cafe with The Happy Fits and Zach Matari & The After Parti (that are on tour coming from the US) and one of our favorite local bands, The Moonlight Club.

Montreal Ribfest

​

We'll play at this year's Montreal Ribfest in Pierrefonds. This is a benefit event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the West Island.

It's a three days event with the best ribs, great music and games for kids.

We are super excited to announce that on Thursday November 9th we'll play at The Garrison in Toronto, as part of the Indie Week festival.

​

Also playing that night will be Spells of Vertigo, FXRRVST, Honey Beard, Huttch, The Falling and The Little Kicks.

Big Shiny Tunes Concert

​

Next Saturday September 30 we'll play at CJLO's fundraiser event at Bar Le Ritz PDB. There will be 17 bands covering 17 iconic songs from the compilation album Big Shiny Tunes 4.

​

We'll play a cover of "Breathe" by Moist. Other artists performing that night include Raveen, Jon Cohen Experimental and Krystale.

​

All proceeds from this event will help support CJLO, Concordia University's radio. So come party with us like it's 1999!

Road to Indie Week Montreal

​

On Saturday September 9 we'll be part of the first Road To Indie Week in Montreal, that will take place at Mademoiselle.

 

This showcase is organized by the Indie Week festival from Toronto, together with RedJam Records and Sincop8ted Noize.

​

You can purchase advanced discounted tickets here.

Doors will open at 7:30pm and we will kick off the night with our set at 8:00pm. So please come early to catch our show.

Free show in Old Montreal​

​

As part of the Midi Indie Zones Musique series at Place d'Armes in Old Montreal, we'll be playing a free show on Thursday August 17th at noon.

​

Every Tuesday to Friday of July and August they feature a performance of a different indie artist. Other artists on the series include ShyreLydia Képinski, Choses Sauvages and many more.

Show in Ottawa

​

We're looking forward to coming back to Ottawa to play at Live On Elgin on Saturday August 12.

​

We invited two of our local favorite indie bands to join us. Loon Choir will be kicking off the night with a special acoustic set

​

Fire Antlers, who played at last years' Ottawa Bluesfest, will also be joining us that night. We can't wait!

Premiers Vendredis

​

We're happy to announce that on Friiday August 4th we'll be part of Les Premiers Vendredis festival at the Olympic Stadium organized by Evenko

 

Boasting more than 50 food trucks, it’s the biggest gathering of its kind in Canada. Last year, more than 120,000 people showed up! 

​

On this edition of the festival we'll share the Sirius XM main stage with The Glorious Sons, Les Louanges and El Diver.

​

This event is part of the official programming of the 375th anniversary of Montreal.

Performance on TV

​

We recently recorded episode of the TV show La Scène dedicated entirely to us. 

​

It already aired on TVSO and it will air on Videotron's MAtv in the fall.

​

SoMM Fundraising Concert

​

On March 29 we've been part of School of Music Montreal's fundraising concert at La Vitrola.

​

All proceeds went to support SoMM’s mission to make music education accessible to at-risk youth. 

​

Also playing that night was an eclectic line up of talented artists including Backyard Dreaming, AltaminaSoulstice A Cappella and many more.

​

MTL Underground CD Launch

​

On Friday March 10 we were part of the launch of MTL Underground's Volume 2 Compilation at Mademoiselle in Montreal's Mile End.

​

A free CD featuring one of our songs alongside other up-and-coming local bands was handed out to everybody that attended the show.

 

Also performing that night were Rival, Broke DiplomatesHopeful Sixteen and Tricia Fitz.

​

Benefit for Doctors Without Borders

​

We kicked off 2017 with a concert at Casa del Popolo on January 28. Half of the proceeds were donated to Doctors Without Borders. You can also donate to them going to this link.

​

It was also the launch of the latest Ep by The Housecoats. Their producer Luc Tellier joined them on drums for one song.  Glass Hour opened the night with an acoustic set.

​

Show at Cagibi

​

We played our last show of 2016 on Saturday November 26 at Le Cagibi.

 

We had the pleasure of sharing the night with the great Give Me Something Beautiful, which you may have also seen earlier last year opening for Half Moon Run at Metropolis.

​

ARTJAM Montreal

​

On October 20th we/ve been part of the 7th edition of ARTJAM Montreal

​

This is a monthly event organised by Goodvibepeople at Nomad Live showcasing music performances, live art and video projections in a party atmosphere and collective open jam. It was a night of local creativity showcasing the creative minds, artists, innovators, and good people of our city.

​

Indie show in Ottawa

​

On Saturday October 8th we played at Pressed in Ottawa with local indie bands Moonjelly and Empty Nesters.

​

The audience was awesome, the venue was very cool and it was one of our favourite shows to date.

Show at La Vitrola

​

On Saturday August 6th we played at La Vitrola. We share the evening with some really good bands. Sunrise and Good People, played that night their first show in Montreal since participating at MIDEM (France), Xprime, who were part of last year's Osheaga, and I Shot Samo, the new project of the former bass player of The Damn Truth.

​

It was organized by Kickdrum. Chom FM, Boulimique de Musique and Indie Planet recommended the event.

​

Show at Casa del Popolo

​

On Saturday July 9th we headlined a show at Casa del Popolo. We invited two of our favorite local indie bands to share the night with us, Rust Eden and Das Blankout. If you haven't already seen them live, do yourself a favor and check them out.

  

This event was reconmended as a must see by Forget the BoxPas Pire Pas Pire, Indie Planet, The Go-Go Radio Magic Show and Listen Local 514. 

Indie Night at Petit Campus

 

For the second year in a row, on Saturday May 28th, we played on the Indie Night at Petit Campus in Montreal.

 

This time with shared the evening with The Mighty Ffud, Different Days and Sunminds.

Live at BRBR

​

Last year when we went to Toronto to play at Canadian Music Week, we were also invited to preform two songs for TFO's tv show BRBR.

​

The first of those two songs, Energy is now available online here. BRBR also chose our video as one of their favorites when it premiered.

​

The Vocalist Magazine

​

In May Julian met with The Vocalist Magazine to discuss about the past, present and future of Grand Splendid. The interview will be available soon. 

​

Canadian Music Week

​

We were very excited to be invited to play again at Canadian Music Week this year.  Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, we've been forced to cancel our performance. We hope to play at the festival another year.
